How to make your own outdoor bar
Warm summer evenings call for refreshing drinks with friends and family, and what better way to serve them than from your own outdoor bar?
Not only will you get to enjoy your new bar, you'll also have a great story to share with your guests about how you built it yourself from a recycled wooden pallet. First, let’s go over what you’ll need for this project.
What you’ll need to make your own bar
You might not even need to visit a DIY store for this project. We'll be making the bar table from a sturdy wooden pallet and some loose boards, embracing the circular economy for a fun summer project.

And bring out your power tools too. You’ll need your oscillating multitool, a versatile tool you can use for sawing, scraping or grinding down nails. A cordless, battery-powered model in particular will be perfect for those hard-to-reach places.
Your handheld circular saw will be essential too. This tool is perfect for making long, straight cuts in boards. You'll be using it to cut the pallet and wooden boards to size. Make sure your circular saw can cut deep enough to saw through the pallet’s wooden boards. You’ll want to be able to move freely with the saw, so again, opt for a battery-powered model.

After sawing the planks to size, you’ll secure them with screws to assemble and reinforce the bar. Some screws may need to go in harder-to-reach places, but a cordless drill will make this part go effortless.
Make your life even easier by combining a pneumatic nail/staple gun with a compressor. This power tool allows you to nail thicker boards quickly and with precision, saving you time and effort.

Tools and materials at the ready, it's time to get to work!
